wedding wednesday: wedding registry

A weekend or two ago we set out to finish register at Macy's. Starting a registry at Macy's was so fun. Souwan & I got a gift bag filled with coupons and books on what to register for. The most interesting part of the books were filled with scan codes already with grouped items together for you. What? Ok say for instance you wanted storage items, however you did not want to go and pick out all of the items. You would take the scanner and use the barcode and it would fill your registry for you! Neat!! We also registered at Target. This place is budget friendly. I love budget friendly places!! If you're not wanting to break the bank- I totally suggest Target! Another suggestion- even though I was against this- going into the stores is way easier to finish registering rather online. Fun part will be opening the gifts at the bridal shower! We're slowly progressing. =)

weekend review

My weekend was fun filled!!! My besties and cousins spent the weekend together. Love when that happens. We saw dolphin tale in the park. So fun! Love movies in the park. Bowling night-guys vs girls, guys won. Boo! Last poolside at a small park nearby. Who knew all of these places were right around the corner from home. Love stay-cay-tions! Saves a lot of money. Thats the way to go these days. Hope you all had a safe and fun Memorial Day. Thank you to all of our heroes out there! This weekend was all about you!

threads: red,white, and blue

Red, white, blue and stripes. How much more nautical can I get?! Ha! I'm ready for memorial day with this outfit. Thank you veterans and armed forces for everything. This weekend we remember all of the men and women who have died while serving the US!

wedding wednesday: our venue

all pics were from google images Last week I posted venue inspirations and our final choice of venue and our date. I forget that not everyone has seen this beautiful place where we are getting hitched. My bad! Here is our venue for ceremony and reception. My reaction to seeing the place was "Oh my gosh! This is where we're going to get married!" Also I am such a nerd - Our inside joke is where is 9 3/4? (Harry Potter reference 0_o #nerd). Hope you guys are enjoying this as much as we are!

biltmore {finale}

The roses and the conservatory were the last bit of this Biltmore garden tour. The Biltmore has many gardens and we visited just two parts. It was very beautiful. I loved the roses and the hydrageas most! I had no idea how many different roses there were until I saw the rose garden. I fell in love!

wedding wednesday: wedding venues

Choosing a location is the beginning step for our wedding planning. It's exciting. We have a place and date! Check out some different wedding locations below and our final choice. Garden wedding. This is such a romantic and beautiful setting. The fiancee and I actually took a look at a wedding in a garden. However the garden was a long distance. cost: high -average $500-$2,500 Beach/Destination wedding. This looks like a lot of fun. cost: low- destination weddings are low because most likely guest count will be small. Farm wedding. This is very rustic and a natural setting. cost: high-average between $500 -$2,500 Church wedding. A very traditional and classic wedding. cost: low Hotel wedding. An elegant venue. We considered a couple of hotels nearby. The capacity of the space didnt work with us. I think max was 200. cost: high -average $500-$2500 Vineyard wedding. I loved this. Good wine to go around. The fiancee and I

Biltmore {part 2}

More awesome pictures from my trip to Asheville, North Carolina. We took a hike thru the Biltmore forest. I'm so serious. I had no idea what I was in for. The Biltmore has woods to hike?!? It's beautiful, but sooo long. This week I've been occupied with : watching the Bachlorette and Glee registering for my wedding! ^^ It still feels surreal. Hope you're having a good one!

wedding wednesday: being newly engaged

(photo from pinterest) Let the wedding series begin! My experience as a newly engaged has been such a sweet experience. So here is what happens for a newly engaged (well what has happened with me): 1. You will stare at your hand all day/every day. 2. The ring is loose and needs to be resized, however I cannot seem to hand it over. I just got it! 3. The phone, facebook, email have been blowing up with congrats. 4. Showing the bling off. I'm so glad I took off that two week old nail polish lol. 5. Telling how he proposed a gazillion times. 6. Friends asking about wedding date and where we are registered. 7. Everyone married offering advice on wedding planning to marriage advice. 8. Lots of hugs. 9. Getting started with planning! Everyone who has offered thank yous, cards, gifts. My fiance (so weird not saying boyfriend) and I are so appreciative to all of the love!! We are soo excited.
