outfit of the day: caftan chevron

What I wore: Chevron Top: ( similar ) Jeggings: Target Pearl Cluster Necklace: ( similar ) Boots: ( similar ) I love the chevron pattern. This pattern is very fun and sort of edgy. Yet I can still stay classic with this look. Next time, I'd love to play this pattern up with a colored bottom. The shirt is not form fitting and is a very light material. I enjoy letting loose! I was excited to pair this statement pearl necklace with such an edgy top. I think they play together nicely! These boots are not made for walking, however they are cute booties to wear in the fall time. What would you wear with a chevron top like this?

first home: the closet

Watching Sex in the City, I always envied her closet. Even the one Mr. Big got her. We will save that dream for later. The closet she had at her apartment is what inspired my very own closet. I knew when we looked at homes, I needed to have the Carrie Bradshaw closet! I changed the colors from her purple to my favorite pink. I think my favorite part of this closet is the jewelry board my husband installed for me and of course the display of my wedding dress. I feel like I need more touches to this closet before I'm finished. My friend Lara just gave me a beautiful chandelier for my closet. Thank so much Lara! For right now it's organized and clean. I'll add more and will be sure to update you all on my Carrie Bradshaw dream closet.

house tour!

BEFORE     AFTER     It's crazy how amazing a home can look after some love and tender touch! I watched my brother and his business partner flip this home for a couple of months; I fell in love with it. This house was a lot of work as you can see from the Before photos. They fixed every bit of this home. On the outside they painted, put a new roof, took a part old wood, and added landscape. Inside the home they painted, fixed the termite issue by taking apart the wall and floors and replaced them. They added new light fixtures, cabinets, and repaired the hardwood floors. I think they did MUCH more than I am telling, but the fact is they did a fantastic job.   We love our 1940s cape cod home, every 1500 sq ft of it!! This is a dream come true. My husband and I look forward to all of the holidays going to be spent in this home. As you can see there are a lot of fall décor around our new home. I couldn't wait to start celebrating!   I hope yo
