kiengkham's korner: our favorite moments from Alabama

We took a trip to Souwan's old stomping grounds. He is originally from Alabama. Souwan's family know how to have a get together! We fed ducks in their downtown park. His parents are just the cutest.   Souwan and I got to hang out with our wonderful nieces and nephew. They are so stinkin adorable! They had a bbq and games at the park. Souwan got a workout learning to play disc golf and playing a game of kickball. They also had a baseball game. It was such a blast watching them! They are an athletic group. It's so much fun when the whole family can get together to play baseball and kickball in the park. We were missing people in this picture, but look at this awesome crowd! Thank you all for coming out to hang with us and we can't wait to see you all again! It meant a lot to Souwan and I. I took so many pictures. If you're on facebook, I have posted all of our fun moments in Alabama in an album there. Go check it out.

outfit of the day: ann taylor polka dot dress

When we visited the Vineyard I wore this Ann Taylor polka dot dress. Souwan and I had lunch at the bistro and walked around the grounds sipping on a wine margarita drink. I am a fan of polka dot dresses, or any polka dots! I think it's a perfect summer pattern.    what I wore: Ann Taylor polka dot dress//Louis Vuitton bag//Payless wedges//Michael Kors watch

kiengkham's korner: souwan's dislike of tomatoes

Souwan and I went to the Farmer's Market and watched the Market Chef. It's inspired by the food network's Iron chef and chopped. We love these shows! It was a blast watching these teams run around the market for fresh vegetables, fruits and meat to cook in a time limit. They had to be very creative and talented for this! Both teams were great making dishes from unknown ingredients. We went to church for dinner and to welcome our new pastor and his family to our church. I loved the tomato sandwiches, however Souwan was not a big tomato fan. I give him credit for trying something new. His tomato sandwich consisted of one piece of tomato (the size of a quarter) on his sandwich. It was great meeting the new pastor and I am excited for the new beginning. His sermon was inspiring on Sunday.  Pssssst, come check us out at Coburn Memorial United Methodist church! (souwan's tomato sandwich picture credit to Dee, thanks Dee! so funny!) Here is our coupon

kiengkham's korner: berry sweet baptisim

(Souwan's the blog title master lol) My cousin's were baptized this past weekend. We celebrated with family and friends. My uncle has a huge garden and we picked a bag full of blueberries and blackberries. I saw a few black eyed Susan's and they are so pretty. Souwan just planted some in our yard and expect them to bloom in the fall. Our couponing stock pile continues. We're working towards saving for our heat pump and a trip to Disney World with our family next year! I have two week's worth to share.   Before coupons = $76.47 After coupons = $ 24.78 Savings of $51.69!   Our garden continues to grow. We are waiting on our watermelons and there are new cucumbers growing. We picked the basil, peppers and tomatoes. Souwan and I have made several of our favorite dishes and snacks with our vegetables.    Noodle Stir fry     Grilled chicken and Asian style Cole slaw     Sour Cream and Dill dip with cucum
